Built in 1871as a hunting box for the MacDonalds, Sconser Lodge is now a delightful hotel, where you are assured a friendly, relaxing stay. Its central location between Portree and Broadford makes it an ideal base for exploring the whole of Skye, or the Isle of Raasay, a short ferry trip away.
The hotel which has been graded 3 stars by Visit Scotland, has 8 en-suite rooms, all with TV.
We have a dining room, where we serve delicious home cooking; a bar offering Isle of Skye real ale, a range of malt whiskies and an interesting wine list; and a comfortable lounge with books, games and TV.
For the comfort of our guests the hotel is non-smoking throughout.

Our eight bedrooms, which include a family suite and a triple room, are all well appointed with TVs, hospitality trays, hairdryers, and a few little extras such as rubber ducks and tartan hot water bottles to enhance your stay. Many have stunning sea and loch views. All have en-suite shower or bathrooms. A travel cot and high chair are available on request.
We feel breakfast should be one of the highlights of a hotel stay and our guests start the day in our beautiful dining room with the full Scottish experience. In the evenings we offer a small, imaginative menu which changes daily and aims to make the most of the abundant local produce.
The bar has draught lager and Isle of Skye real ale to complement an interesting wine list, and a range of fine malt whiskies, which may be enjoyed in the bar with its adjacent sun lounge, or in the drawing room where you will find books, games, CDs and DVDs for your entertainment. Internet access is available for a nominal charge.
