Small and welcoming Kemps is situated in unspoilt Dorset countryside. Facing south , the hotel overlooks the Valley of the Frome and has wonderful views of the Purbeck Hills. The hotel is very conviently situated within a short distance of Wareham, Lulworth Cove, Corfe Castle and Swanage.
Once a Victorian Rectory built in 1874, the house provides a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere in which to enjoy your stay. There are two lounges and a bar. Real log fires burn in the grate in Winter, and in Summer you can enjoy sitting on the terrace in the garden.
There are five bedrooms in the Main House, four converted from the Old Coach House and six spacious rooms on the ground floor of the Garden Wing.
There is also a large function room ideal for wedding receptions, conferences, and meetings.
Dining in the Restaurant or Conservatory, which is ideal for celebrations, has long been considered a special treat.

The bedrooms are set out in three locations, the Main House, the Garden Wing, where all the rooms are on the ground floor and The Old Coach House. Most rooms have excellent views of the surrounding countryside.
Rooms are simply furnished with Tea and Coffee making facilities, direct dial phone and colour television.
Executive rooms are very spacious, have a double and a single bed, widescreen television, hairdryer, and trouserpress. They are ideal for families and for long stays.
Superior rooms have a Whirlpool bath and one has a Four Poster Bed.
Family Rooms
*Executive rooms are large enough to add an extra bed without feeling cramped and are ideal for two adults and two children.
*For younger children there is a room with bunk beds connected via a corridor with bathroom to a double bedroom.
*Alternatively the rooms on the first floor of the Old Coach House may be locked off to provide two interconnecting rooms, a double and a twin.

Kemps Restaurant is renowned for excellent cuisine recognised by the award of a Rosette by the A.A. This part of Dorset is a cornucopia of wonderful food, with Portland Crab, Kimmeridge Lobster and a wealth of fish from the nearby coast.
The rich pastures of the area mean that the local downland Lamb and Beef are of the finest quality. Dorset dairy products are delicious with Clotted Cream and Blue Vinny Cheese being two favourites.
