Autumn Gold Bed & Breakfast is situated in the lovely village of Balblair overlooking Cromarty Firth. It is owned and run by Edward and Sandra Townsley who hope to make your stay with them as enjoyable as possible. Sandra worked with the Scottish Tourist Board so has a good local knowledge and knows how to make her guests welcome. Her enthusiasm for the local area has led to Autumn Gold being built with tourism in mind. Sandra is noted for her Highland cooking (learnt at her mothers kitchen table) and she uses local produce as far as possible. She also makes fresh bread daily so beware of your waistline! Autumn Gold has stunning views over Cromarty Firth to Invergordon, with the RSPB site at Udale Bay to the right of the property. There you may be lucky in late summer and see an Osprey fishing. Directions The nearest airport is Inverness. Currently there are very good value flights with Easyjet and British Airways. Balblair is under an hour from the airport. Great value car hire can be arranged through us if you wish, or at the airport. We will also be happy to arrange transfers from the airport. Our railway station is either Inverness (national routes) or Dingwall (local routes). The train from Dingwall north is a wonderful journey.
