There many excellent beaches nearby for swimming, Torquay and Paignton are just two of some of the best in the West Country.
Try wandering around Torquay, explore the harbourside, the shops of Fleet Walk shopping precinct, the Pavilion and much much more. Going further afield, you can ramble across the wilds of Dartmoor National Park, see the Dartmoor Ponies, visit places of interest such as Widdecombe in the Moor.
Torquay and its environs also offers a rich diversity of places to eat out, theme bars and Nightclubs to suit all tastes.
There are plenty of opportunities for Fishing and Sailing, both sea and freshwater in nearby Stoke Gabriel, Totnes and up river in the Dart on Dartmoor.

Directions
When the M5 ends it becomes the A 38, follow this road until the Torquay junction. Take the A380 to Torquay, on this road you will pass Newton Abbot and go through Kingskerswell. On entering Torquay you will come to a roundabout with English Riviera in flowers on your left hand side, go straight over this roundabout.
After this, go straight through 5 sets of traffic lights, following signs to town centre. At the 6th set, take the left hand lane, you will see a Halfords superstore on your right, Stover Lodge is the 2nd hotel on the left after these lights.
