Within walking distance is Edinburgh's Royal Mile which starts at the top of the hill with Edinburgh Castle and wends it way past many museums, churches, cathedrals, pubs & restaurants and even the Scottish Parliament, before ending up at the beautiful Palace of Holyrood house.
Our guest house is only a short distance ( 7 miles) from Roslyn Chapel, which has earned new interests thanks to the Da Vinci Code.
There are also many one day tours from Edinburgh to various parts of Scotland which we can help you plan.

Edinburgh is not only famous for its beautiful buildings and skyline, it is also the home of the International Festival and the Fringe to name but two of the many special events Edinburgh hosts.
We are, however, never too far from the peace and quiet of the Scottish countryside.
The Sherwood is 4 miles from the sea and within 10 minutes walk you can be in Holyrood park and lost within the hills and dales. This little felow is a regular visitor to our garden.
