Directions
We are situated in the North Yorkshire moors off the B1257 that links Stokesley and Helmsley.
Directions from Stokesley
From Stokesley, take the B1257 towards Helmsley. Go through the villages of Great Broughton and Chop Gate. After a further four miles, ignore a road on the right signposted Laskill, next to a red telephone box. After driving along the side of a hill with beautiful views to the right, take the next right signposted Hawnby. Follow the country lane for three miles to a T-junction at the end. Turn right at the T-junction dropping down into the village of Hawnby just over a hump-backed bridge. Follow the road to the top of the hill, where you'll find the Hawnby Hotel on your left.
There is ample parking space behind the hotel.
Directions from the South
From the South, take the A19/A168 off the A1 towards Thirsk and Teesside. Exit the A19/A168 at the junction signposted Scarborough / Thirsk (A170). Follow the signs at two roundabouts to Scarborough A170. On the A170, not far past the national speed limit sign, turn left at the first junction to Felixkirk / Boltby. Follow the country lane (it's a bit twisty) through the villages of Felixkirk and Boltby. After Boltby, you will climb a very steep hill and pass Low Paradise Farm on your left. The country road offers some wonderful views as you ignore turnings to Cold Kirby and Old Byland. Four miles further on from Boltby, you will drop down into the village of Hawnby just over a hump-backed bridge. Follow the road to the top of the hill, where you'll find the Hawnby Hotel on your left.
