If you are looking for guest houses or bed and breakfast accommodation in Lynton, Exmoor or on the North Devon coast, we are perfect. Valley house is a secluded Victorian country guest house, five minutes walk from Lynton. Set into the rock face high above the West Lyn River, the house provides magnificent views of National Trust woodland and the sea. All our rooms are stylishly decorated and have beautiful views of National Trust woodland and the sea. Every bedroom is en-suite and has tea and coffee making facilities, complimentary mineral water, hairdryer and colour TV. From the balcony rooms, guests can enjoy the scenery sheltered from the elements. You can relax in the bar/lounge, the new conservatory dining room or on the front terrace overlooking the beautiful West Lyn Valley. Interesting breakfast menu and superb evening meals available most days. Packed lunches can be provided for walkers.

Directions By road: From the east, take the A39 to Lynmouth. Drive straight through the village and proceed up Lynmouth Hill. Go straight across staggered junction and we are on the right, just after the sign for Lynbridge. Note that our drive forks from the other side of the road and it is easier to continue along the road and turn around at the car park immediately before the Bridge Inn pub. From the south, turn off the A39 onto the B3234 (opposite TOTAL petrol station). Ignore the next turn off to Lynton on the left - keep going straight and we are about 150m past the Bridge Inn pub on the left. Parking: Please take the drive wide and drive slowly as it is steep. You may either park on the first level or three point turn up to the second level which is nearer the house. By rail: The nearest major station is Tiverton Parkway. If you require car hire, it would be best to get off at Taunton where there is an Avis and other car hire facilities. Barnstaple also has a station - you will need to change at Exeter. Journey times: London or Birmingham to Tiverton Parkway is approx 2 to 2.5 hours depending on whether you need to change at Taunton. You don't need a car to come here!
