The building was originally constructed in 1909 as part of the Gentleman's Residence in the name of William Careless. At that time it was the Drawing Room with the original Dining Room rather smaller than now. The residence was only small at that time before a large extension 4 years later in 1913. Mr Careless certainly looked after himself as his living quarters were huge both upstairs and downstairs, although he hadn't quite converted the Hotel into what it is today. In the 1960's the house was converted into a hotel by Mr & Mrs Moulton and became popular with travelling business people and relatives visiting the area. It has always been known for providing excellent value accommodation. We offer single, twin and double rooms all of which are en-suite. You can choose Bed and Breakfast only or choose to eat in our restaurant in the evening from Tuesday to Saturday and Sunday Lunchtime. As we serve 2 course meals for £4.99 to residents in the evening, we think we provide the best quality and value food of any of the hotels in Wolverhampton. As an independent hotel we offer a personal service that you may not find in larger national hotels in the area. We believe we offer the best value accommodation in Wolverhampton offering you comfortable en-suite rooms with great rates for bed and breakfast. You can come and go as you please and we are always happy to help.

Directions We are just off the A449 South out of Wolverhampton, which is known as the Penn Road. About 1/2 mile on the left you need to turn into Rookery Lane. Go to the top and turn left onto Goldthorn Hill. We are about 200 metres on the left hand side, on the corner as you turn into Fowler Street. From the M6 South J10 take the Black Country Route A454 into Wolverhampton. From M6 North J13 A449 to Wolverhampton.
