Our Big Breakfast is a fantastic start to the day. We offer a range of cereals, you can make as much toast as you like, and we have jam, marmalde, honey, marmite and peanut butter to go with your toast. The Full English Breakfast includes bacon, sausage, egg, tomatoe, baked beans and hash brown. Beverages include several types of tea, and coffee is a medium roast filter coffee served in a cafetiere, orange juice and bottled mineral water. All this is served in the dining room, which is a beautiful reminder of the opulence of a bygone era.

Penrose is the perfect base to explore the south and north coasts of Cornwall. Something Chris & Heidi have been doing for the past 16 years together. There are lots of amenities in Lostwithiel, including local pubs and restaurants, golf course, antique shops, museum, train station, river and parks. Outside Lostwithiel, there is the world famous Eden Project, National Trust gardens and houses, more golf courses, fishing, sailing, cycling and lots of coastal walks.

Directions
Coming from Exeter on the M5, turn onto the A30 and follow this road until Bodmin. Come off at Bodmin onto the B3268, and go straight into Bodmin (ignore the sign for Lostwithiel) and turn right at the end of the road, then left at the roundabout, straight through the traffic lights and straight over the following mini roundabout. Now follow the road until you get to the end about 5 miles away (again ignore the Lostwithiel sign at Sweetshouse). At the end of the road turn left and Penrose is just under a mile away. On the left hand side of the road there is a brown sign, turn left right there into Scrations Lane, and parking is straight away on your right.
