Friars Rest Guest House has been owned by the same family for twenty years and we take pride in the high standard of hospitality and comfort that we offer our guests. We pay particular attention to cleanliness and attention to detail. Built on the site of an old monastery, Friar's Rest is a comfortable and well furnished guest house. We are just a short 7-8 minute pleasant riverside walk from the city centre. All rooms are en suite and well equipped with remote colour TV/ Teletext and tea/ coffee making facilities. Friars Rest has the benefit of an off road car park and on road parking permits. All diets catered for with a vegetarian breakfast on request. We are handy for University and Fulford Golf Club.

Join the A64 dual carriageway to York and take the second exit marked "York Centre A19" then follow this road into York for about 2 miles. We are situated 200 yds just after a right hand fork in the road ,follow the main road you will see us on the right hand side.
