Built in traditional Lakeland stone & style, The Coppice sits quietly in an elevated position between the villages of Windermere & Bowness. As a Guest-House we offer Bed & Breakfast and an extensive choice Dinner Menu. Our bedrooms are mostly DOUBLE-BEDDED, some FOUR-POSTERS, all en-suite Showers and some Baths, with 2 Family rooms (one a Four-Poster). These are used as doubles, twins or single accommodation as required. All our Superior individually decorated rooms have colour TV’s, complimentary Tea/Coffee trays as well as other comforts and accommodate your requirements on quality and price. Pets welcome in selected bed-rooms. Dinner orders are taken in the lounge, between 7pm and 8-15pm from our 3 course Choice menu. Enjoy an aperitif by the coal fire whilst your meal is freshly cooked. We have an excellent local reputation for our Food and only use locally grown ‘Fellbred’ Beef, Pork, Lamb or poultry, supporting our farming Community, and Fresh Fish from Fleetwood. Breakfast is served between 8-30am & 9-15am and is of excellent size and quality, if you go away hungry, you only have yourself to blame. There is always a vegetarian choice available and other dietary requirements can be catered for with prior notice. We are only minutes from the Bus and Train stations and given notice we will collect you during your stay. Mini bus tours of half and full day duration starting at our front door. You can leave the car in our ample Car Park and walk to Bowness taking a cruise round Windermere Lake, or stroll in the Fells with a packed lunch.

Directions By Car Leave the M6 at Junction 36 onto the duel carriageway sign-posted The Lakes. Follow the signs to Windermere for about 14 miles. As you near Windermere you will see "The Windermere Hotel" on your right, as you draw level turn LEFT into Windermere village (past the Tourist Information centre and the entrance to the Rail & Bus Station ) then follow the little one way system past the shops and the pedestrian crossing. Then count three roads down on the left hand side, the COPPICE is on left hand side corner facing you. Our sign is yellow and sky-blue. You will have to turn LEFT into Brook road then into our10 space Car Park. By Train or Bus The nearest bus & train station is in Windermere, from the nearest main line station at "Oxenholme," just by Kendal. Trains run between both almost hourly in the summer and a little less in winter. To give you an idea...
