The Jays Guest House is one of Aberdeen's premier establishments. The detached, traditional granite building, which was built circa. 1872, is situated close to Old Aberdeen. This area contains the world famous Aberdeen University and other visitor delights. The attractions the city centre are close by, as are the delights of the Beach Leisure complex. The Jays Guest House is famed for it's warm and friendly atmosphere. The ten tastfully furnished bedrooms, have 8 with en-suite facilities, while the remaining 2 each have private facilities. All the rooms have coloured satellite television and a complimentary tray. There is a strict- No Smoking Policy- throughout and a private car park is available. The Jays Guest House is a traditionally built detached granite dwelling, with authentic lead stained glass foyer and staircase, which provides an attractive feature. Alice and George Jennings are the proprietors of The Jays and have been for the past 22 years. The have earned the reputation of being warm and friendly hosts, who enjoy looking after their guests. Directions From the Airport; Follow the A96 into the city and after the dual carriageway becomes a two lane road, you will approach a roundabout. Take the first exit - St. Machar Road - and at the second roundabout exit right onto King Street. The Jays is situated on the corner of the 5th opening (Pittodrie Street) on your left, after the roundabout. From Rail/Bus Station: Turn right onto Guild Street and at the traffic lights turn left onto Market Street. At the top of this street turn right onto Union Street and proceed to the second set of traffic lights and turn left onto King Street. Car - from south A90 On entering the city take the second exit at the first roundabout. At the next round about turn right onto Holburn Street. Proceed along this street for it's entiriety and turn right onto Union Street. Travel along this street until the end and turn left onto King Street. By car - A96 Follow direction from airport.
