The Ashbank is a small family owned and run hotel in the picturesque fishing village of Carradale on the East Coast of the quiet and unique Kintyre Peninsula, with views across Kilbrannan Sound to Arran and Ailsa Craig. Kintyre is a secluded peninsula on the west coast of Scotland is forty miles long and eight miles wide and has eighty miles of superb beaches. Away from the main tourist routes it retains a natural beauty.

At the Ashbank our bedrooms are comfortably furnished with modern en-suite facilities and sea and gold course views. The bright and cosy dining room with fireplace is licensed and offers an extensive menu, home cooked from the finest local ingredients. Snacks and meals from the ‘today’s special board’ are served in the lounge. On sunny days enjoy the views from our tea garden.

In addition to the beach and golf course Carradale offers forest, hill and glen walks, river and sea fishing. There is a wildlife reserve, home to a herd of wild goats, and the surrounding area is well known as a birdwatcher’s paradise. Ferries to the Isles – Arran, Islay, Jura and Gigha are nearby. Directions
Ashbank Hotel is easily reached from and within a few hours of Edinburgh, Glasgow and London. There are regular flights to Glasgow from London Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton and Stansted with connections to Campbeltown airport, only a short drive from the hotel.
By road Glasgow to Carradale approximately three hours. Follow the A82 from Glasgow and then take the A83 to Kennacraig, change to the B8001 and then take the B842 to Carradale.
