Awel y Mor is a Victorian guest house, facing the spectacular Dyfi estuary with its miles of golden sand and sheltered dunes. Aberdyfi is a picturesque, unspoilt village, within Snowdonia National Park, and is noted for activities and watersports. It offers a Championship golf course, as well as facilities for sailing, windsurfing, kite surfing, tennis, croquet and fishing. There are several renowned restaurants and pubs within a short walk of the guest house.

Awel y Mor has seven en suite bedrooms, some with an uninterrupted view of the estuary. Rooms are comfortably furnished, spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. Each has a TV, hospitality tray and complementary toiletries. Breakfasts are hearty, using local produce where possible, and home- made vegetarian specialties are available. The owners, Brian and Jen, offer a warm welcome and a relaxing stay by the sea.

Aberdyfi attracts all types of visitor, young and old, active and less so! Art lovers come to paint the glorious views, especially autumn sunsets, and to admire the work of local artists in two village galleries. Birdwatchers can visit a nearby RSPB sanctuary, walkers can hike in the mountains, and there are enough steam railway lines nearby to satisfy the greatest enthusiasts. Historic sites, including romantic ruined castles, are a short drive away, as is the world renowned Centre for Alternative Technology.
