Queens House, a 17th. century former coaching inn, is situated opposite St. Mary's church at the heart of Bures, Suffolk, a village in the beautiful Stour Valley on the edge of Constable Country.
You can enjoy a drink in front of a roaring log fire. All of our guest rooms have T.V. and tea and coffee making facilities. You can laze in our pretty walled garden or take one of the many Stour Valley walks. Visit some of the nearby places of interest or let us arrange cycles or day fishing licences.

Bures lies on the boarder between Essex and Suffolk, which runs along the river Stour in the heart of English countryside. We are 9 miles from Colchester and 6 miles from Sudbury.
The village has many old timber framed buildings and a very pretty church dating from the 13th or 14th century. There are three local pubs, two of which serve food.
