Built in 1897, this stylish late Victorian Villa has been caringly modernised for your comfort whilst maintaining many of its unique characteristics.
Splendidly located in one of York’s finest suburbs, close to the Historic City Centre, which can be reached via a pleasant illuminated riverside walk or alternatively by a frequent bus service.
We have a private enclosed car park for up to 14 vehicles and so all of our guests can park safely for the duration of their stay.
The University, Barbican Centre, Fulford Barracks, and many of York’s splendid attractions are with in easy reach of Midway House, including the expanding Designer Shopping Complex at Naburn, and York Racecourse which is accessible via the pedestrianised Millennium Bridge over the River Ouse.

Our twelve individual bedrooms are spacious and tastefully decorated, with all services.
They include four poster and ground floor options and ironing and trouser press facilities are available. We are able to offer Doubles, Triples, Family and Twin rooms all of which are en-suite and this combination of rooms means that we can usually cater for most requirements.
Two standard rooms are available with shared facilities, a single and a double both of which are of a similar standard but have a reduced tariff, ideal for anyone working specifically to a budget.

Deliciously popular, freshly cooked breakfasts are prepared each morning in the recently refurbished sunny dining room, and all diets are catered for. We want our guests to enjoy the beautiful City of York and Midway House in particular, therefore the atmosphere is informal and friendly with the resident owners available to offer help, advice and local knowledge should you so require.
