The Cottage is just 200 yards from the village pub, renowned for its fine food. Other charming country pubs are close by - we would be delighted to make reservations for you.

The Cottage is an ideally situated country retreat, within 30 minute drive for visiting: National Trust properties (Bodiam Castle, Batemans, Alfriston Clergy House); world famous gardens (Sissinghurst, Great Dixter, Pashley Manor, Merriments); the South Downs and Ashdown Forest for wonderful walks, as well as a network of local footpaths; Gyndebourne Opera; the historic and charming towns of Brighton, Tunbridge Wells, Battle, Hastings and Rye.
The Channel Tunnel, Dover, Gatwick and Heathrow are within easy reach. Ample parking. Special facilities for walkers and cyclists (secure storage for bikes, facilities for drying clothes).

Our guests are accommodated in beautiful double rooms with full en suite facitilies. Both have pretty antique beds, one a four-poster. Every home comfort is provided: colour TV, tea and coffee making facilities, sherry, mineral water, hair dryer and robes. Guests have exclusive use of a pretty drawing room with colour TV, DVD player, books and games. A full English breakfast is provided, AGA-cooked and using locally grown organic produce where ever possible.
