A ten minute, gentle and scenic walk from Grasmere village brings you to Forest Side. At the end of our long winding, tree enclosed drive stands the old Victorian hunting lodge of the Earls of Lonsdale.

Built in 1853, it is surrounded by 43 acres of both landscaped and natural gardens which are home to all manor of country wild life including deer, badgers, red squirrel and of course rabbits.
