Castlerigg Stone Circle is probably one of the best known and prettiest stone circles in the world and is a stones throw from Laurel Bank B & B. For the nature lovers a visit to Dodd Wood and the Lake District Osprey Project is a must. How about a brewery tour at Jennings Brewery Cockermouth or a visit to the Sellafield visitors centre. The jewell in the crown of course is Lake Derwentwater with its wonderful surrounding hills and moutains where the air and the walking are free! Activities include walking, climbing, swimming, golf and tennis with regular cricket, bowls, rugby or football matches for the spectator. Cruise on Lake Derwentwater with the Keswick Launch Company or spend an evening at the Theatre by the Lake. A trip to the cinema is always a good idea for the kids and there is a playground and crazy golf on offer too.
Something for every member of the family.
