Lynwood House guest house is located just a short ten minute walk from Cambridge's Historic city centre, and University Colleges. Under new ownership, Nick and Julie offer their guests a very warm welcome.
In our first year we have transformed the guests bedrooms, two of which have had new en-suite toilet's hand basin and high pressure showers fitted.
We now offer very comfortable accommodation in our guesthouse.

Lynwood guest house is ideally situated two minute's walk from the river Cam and Midsummer House restaurant next to the Fort St George Pub with it's beer garden over-looking the river and Midsummer Common.
This is a wonderful way to walk into Cambridge and catch a chauffeured punt along the famous backs of the colleges, with outstanding views of Kings college and it's chapel. If you get off the punt at the mill pond, you are only a five minute walk from Peterhouse college, the first college to be founded in Cambridge, with over seven hundred years of history. Fitzwilliam Museum with it's fine art collection is just next door, by now you will probably be thinking of lunch, opposite the Museum is Lock Fine restaurant specialising in fish, this is definitely one restaurant to visit if you're a fish lover.

Cambridge is an excellent base from which you can explore the local area, with Ely Cathedral and the Oliver Cromwell Visitors centre just fifteen miles away, also his place of birth in Huntingdon, just eighteen miles from Cambridge, there is also the Duxford Imperial War Museum about Twelve miles from Cambridge. If you like romance and poetry you could visit the Orchard Tea Gardens at Granchester, home to the poet Rupert Brooke. See if the clock still stands at ten to three and is there still honey for tea.
